so the baby mandy was/is carrying is her father's? so confused by that storyline haha (in the UK one lip and mandy have a kid)

Yes, it’s heavily implied that Mandy’s baby might be her father’s. I don’t think anything’s set in stone, though, since it is also implied that Mandy is quite sexual and might have had unprotected sex with boys she knows, but with the set up of the scene and the tone… probably her dad’s.

Do you know what happened with Mandy Milkovich being pregnant? I know they said it was her dad's and that Ian would help raise the money to get rid of it, but did she get that abortion yet?

Not that I know of. I think that most of that story line has been saved for season 3, since it hasn’t really been mentioned again.

is this the american shameless? i don't recognise anyone :-(

yes, these are all caps from the US version. I have yet to watch the original, but I’m thinking of giving it a go. It’s so long though, and I have little patience. Would it be worth the time?

Oh, thanks! I had great fun with it, so thank you for asking it in the first place. :D

in response to anons q about karen loving lip/vis versa...i dont think karen loves lip either, but at karens wedding reception when her and lip are outside talking and she 'suggests, not seriously of course' running away together, and then is deeply offended by lip asking her for an abortion...why do you think that is?

Oh, wow, this is difficult. I have a hard time analysing characters and their behaviour because… well, I’m just not that good at it. But here’s my take on this scene:

So, Karen’s just had her wedding ceremony. Not only was it crashed by the guy she’s been sleeping with for a longer time and who wasn’t even invited, but his crazy grandmother also tried to kill her mentally unhealthy mum. That’s nice.

So she goes out on the porch, tries to cool off from all the things having happened just now, and said guys comes to join her, and they start chatting. Karen has tried to distance herself from Lip, what with the wedding and pregnancy and all, and now he isn’t clingy or pissed, he’s just facing the situation and joking along with her like they used to. Sure, it is serious, but neither of both parties lives have ever been ‘normal’, has it? And then - boom

“I want you to get an abortion.”

I think at this stage of Karen’s life, she is settled on marrying Jody, she does want to have the baby for them to keep (but probably for him to care, you know), but she is also coming to terms with this not being the life she wanted or envisioned. She doesn’t dislike Jody, but he isn’t the cool but caring grown up dude she used to see him as, and most likely she feels disappointed. But still, it is hers

And then Lip barges in, tells her that he wants her to get rid of this baby she’s pregnant with; a baby which Karen (unlike Lip) knows might not necessarily be his.

I think that throughout the whole show, Karen has been established as this very free and like, advocating for self-ownership person. It is her life and her body so she has every right to have sex with people and take drugs if she wants to, you know? So I’m definitely thinking that Karen’s view on this is that it is her body, and therefore ultimately her decision to make. And here comes this guy she knows and who has a big part in her life, but not the biggest, and very bluntly tells her that he wants her to get rid of it. Not thinks, but wants. The only person who could say that and affect Karen’s decision at this point would be Sheila, because Sheila is the only person Karen has shown real, honest self-less affection towards and  probably the most important figure in her life.

So yeah, sorry, started rambling there… I think that Karen pulled that “run away” thing because she is trying to convince herself that this life she’s setting up for herself is what she wants when it really isn’t, and she’s aware of that. She is offended by Lip wanting her to get an abortion because that is not his choice to make, and frankly, who even does that? Not cool, Lip, not cool.
